Kerala Government schools have secured a position in best school list of the EW India school ranking 2019.

In the 13th EducationWorld India School Rankings for 2019-20, Government Vocational Higher Secondary School for Girls(GVHSS) Nadakkavu, Kozhikode has secured the second position in the ‘Top 10 Government Day Schools’ category. In the list, in 2018, 3rd position had been ranked by the school and has consistently done well in the ranking since 2013.

In the state, a model has been set by the GVHSS in the public sector in education.

In the same list, Kendriya Vidyalaya of Pattom in Thiruvananthapuram has been ranked in the fourth position. Though it was the topper in 2016 and 2017 rankings, last year it had secured the fourth position.

 

In the Government Day Schools list, Kendriya Vidyalaya Keltron Nagar Kannur secured ninth place, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Puranattukara Thrissur secured tenth place.

Kendriya Vidyalaya in Thrissur took the tenth position and that in Kannur had been ranked at the 11th position in 2018.

Meanwhile Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Chennithala, Alappuzha got the third position in the Top 10 Government Boarding Schools category, which had been ranked first in the survey last year.

Fifth position has been got by the  Navodaya Vidyalaya at Chendaya in Kannur and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Neriamangalam Ernakulam retained it seventh position from the last year.

The school were ranked on the basis of 14 parameters such as infrastructure provisions, excellence in education, completeness of faculty, academic reputation, safety and hygiene.
