Acid attack survivor narrates her story with Invertians

Bareilly, 7th April 2018Invertis University recreated it’s own history after organizing an acid attack survivor event, initiatedby Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, which turned out to be a great success since  Chhanv Foundation, a foundation supporting this cause was being invited to give a motivational talk.

 

The event began with the lightening of lamp to praise goddess Saraswati, while it was beautifully taken over by the students of Journalism and Mass Communication, who explained the journey of a survivor through an intense skit and energetic dance performance. With this, the founder of Chhanv foundation,Mr.Alok Dixit gave an opening oration narrating his struggle from being a journalist to the founder of this organization. His experience involved how did he come forward to fight for this sensitive cause while he explained his view, making some meaningful statements like one should not prioritize facial beautiful rather inner beauty should be encouraged. With his words an aura of sentiments and awareness was created which influenced many students to take part during his talk.

The real hero, Miss Anshu Rajput then came up with a vibrant confidence and chivalrous thoughtsunfolded the pages of her unfortunate story of how she was attacked by one of her relatives when she was 15. The smile on her face and strength in her soul touched everyone where the whole auditorium got filled with claps and applauds for her. Afterwards, the HOD of JMC department, Mr.Ashish Chatterjee gave away the vote of thanks by saluting all of them and thanked everyone who all became a part the event. At the end, the supporting amount collected by the students was given away by the Chief Executive Chairperson of Invertis University, Miss SonalGautam, who encouraged every student to take a step forward so as to be a part this foundation and believing in being a better person.

 

The faculties, including Professor UtkarshMisra, Miss Ankita Bhatia, Mr. Pradipta Gosh and all the students of JMC department played a monumental role making the event successful.
